Wijnaldum contract talks with LFC at a standstill, player may leave
If reports from Chris Bascombe in the Telegraph today are to be believed, it appears that contract talks with Gini Wijnaldum are at an standstill.
The midfielder apparently rejected the last offer, and no new offer has been forthcoming. It is looking more and more likely that the player could be allowed to leave for free in the summer of 2021.
That may signal that the current season could be the end for the popular Dutch midfielder, who is also a favourite of new Barcelona boss, Ronald Koeman.
There have yet to be any moves for the player, despite those reports at the weekend, but the paper claims that Gini may be 'sacrificed' in order to make the move for Thiago a possibility.
