Werner reportedly prepared to play 2nd fiddle at Liverpool
So the rumours of Timo Werner to Liverpool just refuse to go away, with further reports today claiming that the Reds are now in pole position to sign the Germany superstar.
Werner is likely to leave RB Leipzig, potentially even as early as January, with Man Utd reported to be one of the main club's interested.
But the lure of playing for the European Champions, under Jurgen Klopp, appears to be too much for the young Germany international to refuse, if today's reports are to be believed.
According to Bleacher Report (via TEAMtalk), Liverpool are now front runners, with Werner believed to prefer a switch to Anfield.
It's also reported that the forward would be content to play second-fiddle to Firmino, for the time being, knowing he'll get some joy out wide with Klopp looking to rotate more throughout the season.
