Werner promises huge trophy parade - when safe - if Liverpool win the title
With all Premier League clubs getting back into training this week, and the prospect of a restart looking ever more likely in the next 6 weeks, the title is getting much closer.
Liverpool are just two wins away from a first title in 30 years, something many of us have dreamed about for most, if not all, of that time.
But due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the chances that we'll get to witness that in person, or even attend the trophy parade, are next to zero. Right now, at least.
One of the club's owners though, Tom Werner, has said that FSG promise the fans that we'll have a trophy celebration and victory parade. Just as soon as it's safe to do so.
Speaking to the Associated Press, Werner said: "We hope at some point, people will be able to sit next to each other and enjoy the experience of a sporting event.
"But that seems like a long way off at the moment.
"I thought I never could imagine experiencing anything like that [Champions League parade]. Then somebody said: ‘Well, if we win the Premier League, this parade will be dwarfed.’
"So, I am looking forward to a parade sometime when we can all congregate because I know how important that means to all of our supporters."
