Van Dijk returns to training - Jurgen Klopp
That moment all Liverpool fans had feared arrived last night, as James Pearce broke the news that Virgil Van Dijk had again missed training.
The reports were that, should be miss training again today, he wouldn't be considered for the match at Anfield against Leicester City tomorrow night.
Good news! During his press conference this afternoon, Jurgen Klopp revealed that big Dutch centre-back was back in training. He gave no indications of whether or not he'd play tomorrow, but it's safe to assume that, if he's back in training, he's likely to play some part.
Klopp also appeared to contradict Pearce's claims that Virgil hadn't training on Monday, saying: "Virg was a little bit ill, but he trained yesterday and will train today, so we will see.
"Dejan [Lovren] is fine, Gini trained [and] Fabinho will train today.
"Trent is getting closer and closer and it all looks very positive, but he will not be ready for tomorrow."
So that's good news for Reds fans, and even better considering Klopp also confirmed that Fabinho and Gini Wijnaldum are back in training and Lovren is now fine.
After that 11 day break since teh 4-3 victory over Palace, a number of players have come through injuries and returned to training and we should have a much better looking squad available for the visit of Leicester City at Anfield on Wednesday night.
