UEFA president doesn't believe LFC will be denied Premier League title
A bit more positivity today, coming from an unusual source, as the UEFA president has said he can see no way that Liverpool won't finish the season with the league.
Every rival under the sun has seemed hellbent on denying Liverpool the Premier League since the season was suspended, with many trying to argue that starting next season was more important.
The Premier League meet last week and agreed that the season would get underway again, but only when it is safe to do so, and will likely happen behind closed doors.
But the UEFA president, Aleksander Ceferin has said he can see no way that we don't end the season with the title.
Via Sky Sports, in Slovenian sports paper, he said: "I see no way for Liverpool to stay untitled. If the championship resumes, they will almost certainly win it - theoretically, it has not yet reached the guaranteed level, but it is practically close.
"However, if it could not be played, it would also be necessary to announce the results in some way and find some key on how the champions should be determined. And, of course, again I do not see a scenario in which that would not be Liverpool.
"I understand that fans will be disappointed if it happens in an empty stadium or even at the green table, but I believe they will win the title one way or another."
