Turkish giants want Clyne & Shaqiri
So while it's all a bit quiet on the actual football front, transfer gossip is heating up a bit and today there are reports that both Nathaniel Clyne and Xherdan Shaqiri could be leaving.
Shaqiri is a bit of a fan favourite but he's barely played this season, even when he was fit, and it's fair to say it hasn't quite worked out how he (or we) would've hoped when he joined LFC.
The reports from the Boot Room claim (from a Turkish source) that Shaqiri will open talks with Galatasaray once the season gets underway again.
Supposedly the fee the club are asking for is around £18 million and Liverpool are prepared to allow him to leave should that fee be matched by another club.
As for Clyne, it's been clear since Klopp arrived that his days are numbered, but injuries have caused the player to barely feature during Klopp's almost 5 years at the club, whilst Clyne spent some time on loan at Bournemouth.
Apparently another Turkish side, Besiktas, want to take Clyne on a permanent deal and will sign him on a pre-contract agreement once things get going again. It will mark the end of a long - but disappointing - spell at the club. The report comes via Sport Witness.
