Trent on current Liverpool side: 'we're relenteless'

He's not wrong either, the young right back, who will take his overall appearances for Liverpool to 95 this weekend against Sheffield United.

It's hard to believe that the young Scouser is still only 20 and is closing on 100 games playing in such a crucial role for Jurgen Klopp's 'relentless Reds'.

But he is, and the current side are making and breaking records left, right and centre right now, as they close in on Man City's record winning streak over the next few weeks.

Liverpool certainly have looked unstoppable in the Premier League since February last season, setting a pace that only Man City matched but even Guardiola's side have fallen 5 points behind this season.

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, he said: "We’re relentless I think. We’re just trying to keep going, we’re not focused on whether it’s a five-point gap or we’re chasing, it’s just about what we can do going into every game, trying to get the three points, trying to win, not focusing on any other teams and where they are in the league.

"It’s just about us pushing ourselves to our limits and making sure we’re the best possible team we can be, making sure the performances are right and that we’re getting the right results.

"Then when it comes to March, April, that’s when you start to look at the league to see where you are, but until then we’re just trying to get the points on the board."
