Trent: Liverpool vs Salzburg 'a big game'

With Liverpool having missed a golden opportunity to go through top of their Champions League group last night, it'll all come down to the last match day next month.

Liverpool will be taking on Austrian champions Salzburg in match-day six, with the knowledge that we need at least a draw to secure progression.

In reality, we should've won last night. In reality, beating the Austrian side should come easily but, as we've shown in the last two group stages, Liverpool don't ever make anything easy.

So it's no surprise to hear Trent Alexander-Arnold discuss how Liverpool have a 'big game on our hands', in regards to the match in a few weeks time.

He told Liverpoolfc.com: "We know we're a strong side who beat them at Anfield. We need to go there and get a result – and that's what we’'e going to hope to do.

"It's something we need to be aiming for, reaching the latter stages and pushing on from there.

"For the club it's massive and we know we've got a big game on our hands."

Salzburg beat Genk 3-nil last night, leaving them with the slightest glimmer of hope of a chance in the knockout stages, so they'll be well up for it when we arrive in December.
