Totti: Salah made right choice joining Jurgen Klopp's LFC
It's rare that you find a legend of top-level football that is genuinely as classy as they appear, just see Casillas' comments following the match in the week, but Francesco Totti genuinely seems to be a top person.
Totti was still at Roma during Salah's final season at the club, before he joined Liverpool that fateful summer in 2017, and while he could feel hard done by that the club's best player left for a small sum to join the Reds, Totti actually feels that he made the right call.
Speaking about Salah this weekend, he's said: "Sincerely I'm very sorry for every player who has left the team because when you stay with someone day after day you can understand what kind of person he is.
"So this happened with Salah, with Alisson and other players who left Roma. It is normal in that moment you feel very sorry but with Momo I had a particular relation.
"In fact every time he played and scored with me he always told me he felt like a different player because he had fun to play with me and he liked the way I put him in front of goal with my assists."
Totti is one of few 'one club men' left in elite football, and despite having numerous opportunities to have moved on in order to win more trophies, he stayed with his boyhood club and became a true legend.
He feels that Salah made the right decision though, in leaving, and continued: "He is an exceptional person and a true man who gave a lot to the club.
"But at the end unfortunately you have to make decisions and we have to respect this.
"I think he made the right decision to go to Liverpool because they are one of the most important clubs in Europe."
