Suarez bizarrely linked with Liverpool return
Liverpool sit comfortable, 5 points ahead of champions Man City, at the top of the Premier League.
They also have a favourable group in defence of their Champions League trophy and are (for now, at least) through to the next round of the league cup.
So you wouldn't think there was an awful lot of improvement needed, particularly not up front, with Liverpool having arguably the most dangerous front 3 in world football.
Yes, they've been misfiring at times over the past few weeks but, as they say, form is temporary, class is permanent and for Salah, Mane and Firmino that is always true.
But rumours today claim that Liverpool are interested in bringing 32 year old Luis Suarez back to Anfield. Not only that, but the player himself is keen on the move back.
The reports come from Caught Offside (via Sport Mole), and they claim that Suarez is becoming more and more unhappy with his role at Barcelona and would be happy with a move back to Liverpool.
The part about Liverpool being interested though just doesn't ring true, particularly as the quoted price is over £40 million. We just can't see FSG forking that out for a 32 year old.
Especially one that pissed off the rest of the Liverpool fans that hadn't already turned on him, with his antics as we knocked his current side out of the Champions League last year.
