Shaqiri turns down move from Liverpool to China
Well here's a weird one for you that slipped under the radar, for the most part. Xherdan Shaqiri has reportedly turned down a move to China.
The Swiss international star has only been at Anfield for 12 moves and, during that time, has become quite a popular figure amongst Reds fans for his all-action attacking style.
His game time in the second half of the season wasn't as heavy as earlier on but he always played a part and his role in the win over Barcelona ensured he more than earned his Champions League winner's medal.
But Swiss outlet Blick claim that the player has turned down a move to China, whilst apparently Monaco had also been believed to be preparing a big bid for the winger.
Liverpool - nor the player himself - are interested though, with Jurgen Klopp making it clear that he is a big fan of the 27 year old.
As for Shaqiri himself, he will be all too aware that this is perhaps his last big club move (let's be honest, it barely gets any bigger!), and he will be keen to prove himself more so this season.
