Rodriguez pinpoints LFC's biggest threats ahead of Champions League tie
It's not long now before the Champions League officially gets back underway on February 19th, as the Reds take on Bayern Munich at Anfield in the first-leg of their two-legged 2nd round tie.
The home side are sitting 2nd in the Premier League at the moment, albeit on goal-difference, with Bayern sitting 3rd in the Bundesliga (much to everybody's surprise), as Borussia Dortmund set the early pace and currently sit 7 points clear at the top.
But there's still plenty of class and experience in this Bayern side and to rule them out due to being missing a couple of important players - namely Manuel Neuer and Robert Lewandowski) would be very foolish indeed.
At the same time, it would be as equally foolish for the German giants to think they are favourites for the tie against LFC and, with that in mind, James Rodriguez has pinpointed what he sees about LFC as a threat to his sides prospects of progressing.
Speaking ahead of the first-leg in 12 days time, he said (via the Daily Mirror): "Liverpool are very strong. They are a top team. Last year they reached the final. To get to the next round we need to be better prepared than they are."
"They are great at counter-attacking, speedy and strong.
"We have to be prepared."
Hopefully our own boss' familiarity with the opposition will be a big bonus for us, but there's no doubt that there were easier ties we could've got.
