Reports: Origi contract talks planned by LFC
It seems a fitting reward, and one which few genuine Reds would begrudge him, as it looks like the club are set to offer Divock Origi a contract extension this summer.
The 24 year old Belgian striker was given a way out of Anfield in January by the club, but Div wasn't having any of that. Instead, he wanted to stay at the club and take a chance on getting a few games.
It turned out pretty good for him, didn't it?
A last minute winner in the derby was a start. Along with a few decent cameo appearances. But a late winner against Newcastle at the weekend to keep us in the hunt for the title, and then a couple against Barcelona on Tuesday night was worth the contract on its own!
Origi has always seemed to enjoy being at the club but he had often failed to deliver when required. What hasn't been a secret though, was Klopp's appreciation of the player.
But with just a year to run on his contract, reports (via the Liverpool Echo) claim that LFC are looking to offer the striker a contract extension.
