PSG reportedly keen to sign Liverpool's Lallana
In a weird twist of the transfer market, reports this morning indicate that Paris Saint Germain are interested in Liverpool's England international Adam Lallana.
The English midfielder has been at the club since he signed in 2014 for £25 million from Southampton. He has since played over 150 times for the club, scoring 22 goals.
But it's fair to say that his career at Anfield has been absolutely blighted by injury. A player that could, by now, be a legendary midfielder for the club with close to 100 caps for his country has failed to live up to expectations.
There is no doubting his quality when he plays himself into form though. That doesn't mean, however, that the news of PSG's interest doesn't come as something of a surprise.
Reportedly he'd be as a replacement for Edinson Cavani and with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita returning to regular first-team involvement and back into some sort of form, his way to the first team is now blocked by 4-5 other midfielders.
Whether Jurgen Klopp, a great admirer of the player, would agree to the move is questionable and Lallana himself appears to love life in Liverpool so it remains to be seen whether he'll want to even leave.
