Premier League rivals want Man City to face domestic punishment similar to Euro ban
Many fans want it, what with Man City having swallowed up most of the domestic trophies since Guardiola arrived, but now it seems that Premier League clubs want it too.
A domestic punishment of some sort, that is. Similar to that imposed by UEFA for the club's breaches of FFP rules, with Man City now banned from European competition for two years.
As to whether Liverpool are one of those clubs remains to be seen, but considering we've seemingly missed out on two Premier League titles in the last 8 years because of the club's breaches, it would be surprising if they weren't.
The Athletic says that many of the clubs are now seeing that City's breaches allowed them to over-inflate player prices, meaning that clubs had to overspend themselves and want the club to face a domestic sanction as well.
But those same rivals feel that relegation out of the top flight would be a punishment too far, due to City's success bringing increased exposure to the top division.
