Player Ratings: Porto 1-4 Liverpool (6-1 Agg)

LFC fans had hoped for a comfortable second leg, but not this comfortable.

In all honesty, Porto made it difficult. From the first whistle in the first half, in particular, they made things very difficult for Liverpool.

But chance after chance came the way of the home side, with Marega squandering many of them.

What's that they always say about taking your chances? Well, Liverpool did. All 4 of them, actually and we'll line up against Barcelona - the favourites - in the semi final.

Alisson - A few comfortable 'saves' early in the 1st half and could do nothing for the goal. 7

Trent Alexander-Arnold - A lovely ball for Salah's goal. A pass, and goal, that effectively put the Reds through. 7

Joel Matip - Solid again and kept the ship steady while Van Dijk was rising from his early dozing. 7

Virgil Van Dijk - Seemed to be in auto pilot in the first 10 minutes but pulled it together in time to make sure Porto didn't ever seriously threaten. 7

Andy Robertson - Just doesn't stop. Worked exceptionally well down the home side's left and was never really troubled himself. 7

Fabinho - Another classy midfield game, saw the Brazilian control the middle of the park and ensure that the match never got away from him. 7

James Milner - Not great in the first half, where his completion rate was apparently below 50%. Improved in the second. 6

Gini Wijnaldum - Was given the job recently filled by the captain and toiled away at it for 45 minutes. Improved though. 7

Sadio Mane - An opening goal and an all-round typical display of application and quality. A key component of our attack when it's purring. 7

Mo Salah - If you're still watching replays of Salah's goal against Chelsea, watch his goal against Porto a few times too. On paper, it was simple but in reality Mo had been missing those for most of the season. That's 3 goals lately and the old Salah is back. 7

Divock Origi - Always a bit hard to judge the squad players when they're given a start, but Origi was pulled at half time for what may have been a knock. If not, seems awfully harsh to be subbed when you're a goal up and basically through. 5

Substitutions:

Roberto Firmino - But when you're replacing him with the sort of quality Bobby possesses then you shouldn't complain. A headed goal for our third and we're easily in the semis. 8

Joe Gomez - Came on for Trent and was solid enough. 6

Jordan Henderson - Wasn't on for long but it was enough to run the show and provide a 3rd assist in as many games. 8
