Mirror journalist tips LFC to make a big signing in January window
Liverpool are flying at the moment, sitting 8 points clear at the top of the Premier League, 11 ahead of champions Man City
So you may wonder why the Reds would need any sort of reinforcements, particularly considering how the team utterly mauled Everton on Wednesday night with 5 changes.
But if you believe the Mirror writer David Maddock, Liverpool are possibly in for two 'big' signings in the January and the summer window.
He said: "I believe there will be a couple of big signings, maybe one in January and another in the summer.
"But I don’t think superstar signings, they will stick with the model of finding players aged between 19 and 24, with potential to get better.
"They’d still cost a lot of money though, because they want players from leagues where the stats mean something."
Liverpool have been linked to moves for Jadon Sancho and Timo Werner in the past few months, with both seemingly very keen to sign for Jurgen Klopp's team.
The Mirror journalist also mentions that Nike would potentially like a major signing to coincide with the new proposed kit deal.
