Mbappe will not sign another PSG contract
If you like your transfer news hot and steaming, you'll do no better than Marca, who today have reported that apparent Liverpool 'target' Kylian Mbappe will not sign another contract at PSG.
The 20-year old French superstar had another standout season at the Paris-based club and has been repeatedly linked with a move to Anfield, but I think we can all agree that that's next to impossible, in terms of likelihood to happen.
With Liverpool's current model, Mbappe would tear up the wage and transfer fee structure, which would ultimately upset the dressing room and very special balance that Jurgen Klopp currently has at the club.
That said, there's no doubting that Mbappe would take our attack to another level altogether.
So news from the Spanish paper (if you can call it that) that Mbappe has told PSG he won't extend his contract beyond the final 2 years will be interesting to many big clubs.
Particularly as Mbappe is reportedly not interested in money, it's major trophies he wants and the big one is currently sitting in the trophy room at Anfield.
It was inevitable really, though, when you consider that Ligue Un is basically a glorified Championship with half a dozen decent teams and PSG.
Will we be seeing the French World Cup winner at Anfield any time soon? Possibly. Will it be in a Liverpool shirt? Very unlikely.
