Match Preview: West Ham vs Liverpool
What date & time: Monday, February 4, 2019 – 8pm GMT
Where: London Stadium
Where to watch: Sky Sports Main Event & Football
Ref: Kevin Friend
With Man City having been handed 3 points today, in the same way the Reds had 2 taken off them in the week (i.e. Martin Atkinson), Liverpool will go into tomorrow night's match knowing that 3 points continues to be a must in every fixture and no slip ups are acceptable.
Injuries & Suspension
Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold will, once again, be unavailable. Gomez, it's now emerged, is likely to be out for at least another 5-6 weeks and possibly require surgery.
Trent on the other hand could well be available for the match next week, but tomorrow night's game comes a little too soon.
Elsewhere, the usual suspects are still out - Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Rhian Brewster but old-boy James Milner will be back from suspension and likely return to the right-back slot in place of Jordan Henderson.
For West Ham, they are likely to have Marko Arnautovic available for the bench at least, despite coming off in mid-week. Whether Manuel Pellegrini will risk him from the start, we'll have to wait and see. One thing for sure is that he won't have Fabian Balbuena, Winston Reid, Jack Wilshere, Carlos Sanchez, Samir Nasri and Andriy Yarmolenko for selection.
West Ham: L-L-W-W-D (In all comps)
Liverpool: W-W-L-L-L (In all comps)
Predicted Liverpool Line-up
In light of players returning and current injury board, we reckon we'll line up something like this Monday: Alisson, Milner, Van Dijk, Matip, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Mane, Salah, Firmino
West Ham 0-2 Liverpool - We reckon the Reds will return back to that familiar solidity again.
