Not many Reds thought we'd be seeing the FA Cup fourth round when the team sheets were announced for the third round. Any who say they did are liars.
But... here we are, and it is - at least on paper - a decidedly less daunting tie for what will likely be a similar side to that which Klopp fielded last time around.
Shrewsbury will not be a pushover, that's for certain. They're a lower table League One side, but they've been in relatively decent form and will be well up for tomorrow's game.
Anything but progression would probably be considered a bit of a disaster for whatever side Liverpool field, but it is certainly not a competition that Klopp prioritizes. Either way, it will offer those that play a chance for more game time and should be a huge incentive for them.
Injuries & Suspension
One thing is for sure, Sadio Mane won't be playing on Sunday. Whilst neither James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri are expected to be involved at all either.
Apparently, Naby Keita could still be available but we are likely to see a much-changed team regardless and many first-team stars will be 'rested'.
Last 5 games:
Shrewsbury (all comps): D-W-D-L-D
Liverpool (all comps): W-W-W-W-W
Predicted Line up
As we've already said a few times we will likely see a massively rotated first team starting against the League One side.
Several youngsters will no doubt be involved as well but we'll probably see the likes of Fabinho, Dejan Lovren, Adrian and Divock Origi getting starts as well.
Starting XI: Adrian, Williams, Matip, Lovren, Larouci, Fabinho, Chirivella, Jones, Elliott, Origi, Minamino.
