Match Preview: Sheffield United vs Liverpool

Date & time: September 28th 2019, 12:30 (BST)

Where: Bramall Lane

Is it on: Sky Sports Premier League

Referee: Anthony Taylor

With our previous forays into domestic cup football under Jurgen Klopp being far from successful, Wednesday represented another potential potato skin for Liverpool.

The team announcement was greeted with almost 100% approval from Reds and they did not let us down, with the youngsters in particular the big stand outs.

Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones and Ji-Kana Hoever were all highly impressive, whilst James Milner made another great case for himself in the first team, from left back.

The senior jack of all trades was at his best against as captain, shepherding the youngsters through the match, so it'll be interesting to see who starts and makes the bench tomorrow.

Sheffield United will be another tough game though, regardless, and Jurgen Klopp will be keen to ensure that his players keep up their recent form.

Injuries & Suspension

Naby Keita came through an hour on Wednesday night, so we expect him to make the bench on Saturday morning.

Whilst Divock Origi and Sadio Mane trained with the first team on Thursday so will both be available for selection.

Alisson and Xherdan Shaqiri are not yet ready though, as Nathaniel Clyne won't be either, until after the new year.

For Sheffield there are no injuries of note, with only Billy Sharp suspended, but he was unlikely to start anyway.

Last 5 games:

Sheffield Utd (all comps): W-D-L-W-L

Liverpool (all comps): W-W-L-W-W

Predicted Line up

After a full week's rest since our last league match, and with a slightly more generous game mid-week in the Champions League, we're likely to see a lot of rotation again tomorrow.

But that means we'll see most of the first-teamers rotated back in to the team, as Klopp looks to pick up another three points to temporarily extend our Premier League lead.

Starting team: Adrian, Robertson, Matip, Van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Mane, Salah and Firmino
