Match Preview: Liverpool vs Porto
Date & time: Tuesday 9th April 2019, 8pm BST
Where: Anfield
What channel: BT Sport Football
Referee: Antonio Mateu Lahoz (ESP)
The Reds return to fortress Anfield tonight, looking to continue the remarkable home form that has seen us reach a Champions League final and now sit top of the Premier League with just 5 games remaining.
But looking to smash that record to pieces are an in form Porto side, who themselves sit 2nd in the table, level on points with Benfica (albeit 2nd on GD).
The Portuguese champions have been in good form, having not lost since defeat at the hands of title rivals Benfica over a month back and have one of the strongest defences around and will no doubt play to their strengths at Anfield later.
Injuries & Suspension
The home team have no new injury concerns, but Andy Robertson is suspended so we will likely see James Milner drafted into the left back position.
Depending on how Jurgen is feeling too, could we possibly be seeing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the bench? It would be a rare treat.
For Porto, they're missing Vincent Aboubakar who is put for the season, whilst Pepe and Hector Herrera are both suspended.
Form
Liverpool: W-W-W-W-W (all comps)
Porto: W-W-W-D-W (all comps)
Predicted line-up
With Robbo suspended, as we've just mentioned, Milly will probably step into that particular breach.
That means that we'll likely see captain Henderson restored to the midfield, with fans hoping we see him played in that advanced midfield role from Friday night, alongside Fabinho and Naby.
Starting line-up: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Milner, Fabinho, Keita, Henderson, Mane, Salah and Firmino.
