Match Preview: Liverpool vs Bournemouth
What date & time: Saturday 9th February, 3pm
Ref: Anthony Taylor
The top of the Premier League has changed a far bit since the last Match Preview, with Everton submitting to City, whilst Liverpool huffed their way to a fairly fortunate 1-1 at West Ham on Monday night.
With a match in hand against Bournemouth tomorrow night, Liverpool know that they have a big chance to put themselves back on top and put more pressure on City ahead of their 3rd big game this week on Sunday, at home to Chelsea.
A win, and City will feel the pressure again. A big win (i.e. a more convincing win) and Pep's boys will be feeling it even more, as it'll be the end of the Reds' brief blip.
Injuries & Suspension
With improvements on the injury front yesterday and today, it will be a very different looking Liverpool taking on Eddie Howe's team tomorrow afternoon.
We should see the return of Gini Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson to the squad, with at least one of them starting. Whilst Trent Alexander-Arnold was back in training on Thursday, Klopp may choose to give him a bit more time to recover.
Of course, most fans just want to see as close to our first choice defence and midfield back in action. Particularly at Anfield, where nerves got the better of the home fans last week against Leicester.
Meanwhile, Dejan Lovren, Joe Gomez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are all still ruled out for the foreseeable.
For Bournemouth, they will have to do without their primary attacking threats Callum Wilson and David Brooks, whilst Jefferson Lerma will face a late fitness test.
Thankfully, the greatest Premier League right-back Nathaniel Clyne is ineligible so we're safe there.
Liverpool: L-L-W-W-D-D (all comps)
Bournemouth: D-L-L-W-W-L (all comps)
