How long was that 11 days? It's certainly been tough on LFC fans, going over a week without getting to see their beloved Reds but it's certainly no doubt been a huge boon for the team.
Jurgen Klopp has spent the last 4 days putting the team through their paces, ahead of the visit of Leicester City tomorrow and will have left his charges in no doubt as to the importance of ensuring they start well, considering that Man City are likely to have closed the gap to 1 point by the time they play on Wednesday.
Injuries & Suspension
The big news here for LFC of course is that it was revealed last night that Liverpool may be without Virgil Van Dijk. The Dutch centre back is still suffering with an illness he picked up during the team's recent trip to Dubai, and James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo stated that the Dutchman would be checked on Tuesday morning. If he is not able to train, he will likely miss the match at Anfield on Wednesday night.
Update: of course, since this news on Monday evening, it has since been made clear that Van Dijk is likely to start on Wednesday night; great news for all Reds fans.
Elsewhere, the Reds are still without Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold and definitely Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. While Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip, Georginio Wijnaldum and Fabinho should all pass late fitness tests, according to today's reports.
James Milner, having received his marching orders in the previous match at home to Crystal Palace for two yellows, will be missing also.
For Leicester City, Daniel Armartey is likely to be the only missing senior player, with Harry Maguire expected to be fit in time.
