Man City winger claims he still 'loves Liverpool'
Well that was a weird one, and came a bit out of the blue, but in a Q&A with fans today, the Man City midfielder Raheem Sterling has claimed he still loves Liverpool.
Now, the question is, does he mean the club or the city? Or both.. Either way, it won't please Man City fans a great deal, who have developed a real hatred for the way we've overtaken their massively spending side during the 2019/20 season.
Speaking today in his Q&A on Instagram, he said: "Would I ever go back to Liverpool? To be honest with you I love Liverpool.
"Don’t get it twisted, they are always in my heart. It’s a team that done a lot for me growing up so…"
The England superstar left the Reds in 2015 for almost £50 million and has had a terrible relationship with fans ever since, with his off-field behaviour not helping him at all too.
After Man City were banned from Europe for two years though and could even face further sanctions, the winger has already started to make noises about possibly leaving in the summer.
Would he return to Liverpool, would you even want him back now? Let us know in the comments below.
