Liverpool will reportedly look to sell Lovren and Shaqiri this summer
At least that's the view of the Liverpool Echo's Joe Rimmer, who reckons that Liverpool were willing to let Lovren leave last summer but definitely will this time around.
He also says that the Croat was available for £14 million last summer but the club are prepared to take a further loss and let him go for £10 million now.
It appears like a strange decision, for a player that still has a good 4-5 years left in him. But perhaps it's the club being realistic for a player that is so injury prone. Particularly considering that he's only just returned from another injury recently.
But sadly it looks as if Xherdan Shaqiri could be on his way this summer as well, with Rimmer claiming that, while the winger will play his part in the rest of the season, he'll likely be allowed to leave for around £25 million this summer.
Liverpool are already apparently ensuring all of the targets that Jurgen Klopp wants are lined up, and we're expected to get our business done as early as possible, once again.
The sale of players will seemingly add to that too, with Rimmer stating that player sales will add a potential £75 million to the clubs' transfer funds in the next window.
