Liverpool welcome Gini back to training in Marbella
After somehow managing to get through the game against Bournemouth on Saturday, despite later indicating that he had actually played with diarrhoea, Gini Wijnaldum had missed training for a couple of days with the squad travelling to a Marbella training camp.
The Dutchman was still suffering with the after-effects, as you can imagine, and was struggling still with illness.
But Klopp expected him to return to training with the bulk of the squad today, and he did just that, no doubt to the delight of Reds fans around the globe.
The midfielder has seen his star climb rapidly this season, as fans began to notice what he brings to the team, albeit only in his occasional absences through illness. It was no big coincidence that an improved midfield display on Saturday coincided with his return.
So it's of the utmost importance that the Reds have the 28-year old fit and raring to go next Tuesday, particularly with so many defensive options out with suspensions and injury.
