Liverpool want Cantwell in the summer, say transfer reports
It is perhaps surprising that we haven't had these transfer rumours already, where Todd Cantwell is concerned but they've finally come up today, via David Ornstein.
The highly-respected journalist, who now writes for the Athletic and he claims that the Reds consider the young England U21 international to be top of their list for the summer window.
Cantwell was one of the young stars in the Championship last season, but only managed a single goal and two assist. However, there's no doubting that he's hit the ground running in the Premier League this season, despite his team's struggles.
The 21 year old has already scored six times, providing another two assists and, regardless of how the season ends for Norwich, he will undoubtedly end up back in the top division.
Ornstein believes that that could be at Liverpool, with the Reds reportedly having the player on their radar which wouldn't be a surprise at all. He certainly fits Jurgen Klopp's player profile.
An attacking midfielder, more comfortable on the left, but capable of player as a box-to-box or a more deep-lying player, the youngster still has a lot to learn but where better than under the best manager in the world right now? I can't think of anywhere better for him.
