Liverpool set to pip Man City and Barca to Elliott signature
It's a lesser signing but it's one which we may look back on in a few years and think 'yeah, that was a smart move', as Liverpool look to have sealed the signing of Fulham youngster Harvey Elliott.
The 16-year old is the youngest ever player to feature in the Premier League, after making his debut for Fulham last season against Wolves.
Having made his first senior appearance the previous season at the age of 15, it's clear that he's considered to be a hugely talented young player.
The reports today, coming from Goal.com, claim that the Reds have stormed ahead of their Premier League rivals for the youngster's signature, along with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and PSG.
The young forward is reportedly a Liverpool supporter, and the chance to play for his boyhood club, under Jurgen Klopp, has been a big pull for him.
But Fulham are reportedly disappointed with the situation, according to reports, having made the player a huge offer. Liverpool will be paying the London-based club a big compensation package in return for one of the most talented youngsters in the country.
