Liverpool's Grujic returns to Hertha Berlin
The Reds' 23-year old Serbian midfielder, Marko Grujic, has returned to the Bundesliga side for a second season loan move.
Having had a successful loan spell at the club last season, it appeared that Liverpool may have been keen to allow Grujic a permanent move this summer.
The fees mooted were upwards of £20 million, and it looks as if another Edwards special was in the offing but not so.
The midfielder will now spend the new season at Hertha, with a permanent move possible at the end of the season. Either way, it looks increasingly likely that his long-term future is not at Anfield.
Grujic appeared 23 times for Hertha last season, scoring 5 times, with a single assist and really enhanced his reputation, gaining a lot of interest from elsewhere in the process.
But the Serbian was always keen to go back to a place where he felt wanted and was so highly regarded.
The club will apparently receive a £2 million fee, with further add-ons possible. Meanwhile, Brighton and Atalanta both came in with late offers, whilst Bayern Munich were also supposedly interested.
