Liverpool reportedly vying with Euro giants for Napoli midfielder
With the Reds already well-stocked in the midfield department, you'd think that transfer rumours wouldn't be about us being interested in another midfielder.
So the fact that Liverpool are reportedly vying with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich for Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz is certainly rather interesting.
Liverpool already have Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana, Fabinho, Gini Wijnaldum, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner and a number of other youngsters and wide players that can double up.
But Ruiz would offer something a little bit different. The 23-year old Spaniard is a classy, cultured midfielder. Something which shouldn't be a surprise, as a Spanish player.
He also likes to score goals, and managed 10 goals and assists for the Naples side last season. The report from Calciomercato does not state a price, but you can imagine it'll be significantly higher than the £26 million the Italian side paid for him.
