Liverpool reportedly favourites to sign Dortmund's Sancho
Updated: Dec 7, 2019
With the transfer window fast approaching, as we head toward the end of the year, the rumours are starting already and for Liverpool, it'll be a busy rumour-mill.
The Reds have already been linked with a raft of players already, but a handful of names keep coming up. And one of those is Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho.
The former Man City player made the move to Germany in 2017 and has since played over 70 times for the Bundesliga side, scoring and assisting over 50 times in that time.
It's fair to say that he's been a huge hit since his move, and is now valued in the region of £65+ million. It's also fair to say that he's not enjoying his time in Dortmund at the moment.
Which is why rumours of his departure are suggesting that he could even leave as early as January, with ourselves and Man Utd being strongly linked.
Bookies Paddy Power have announced this morning though, that they have 'slashed' the odds on Liverpool to sign the player, now making us favourites at 3/1.
This comes after a massive amount of bets were placed on the Reds to sign the player. Probably not in January, but for the summer, no doubt.
A statement from the bookmakers said: "We’ve been battered with bets on Jadon Sancho moving to Liverpool since this morning, with Anfield now the new favourite over Old Trafford.
"It’s probably not that surprising that he’d chose to join Jurgen Klopp over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team, though it’ll be interesting to see who he’d get in ahead of at Liverpool. We hope he enjoys the bench."
