Liverpool legends arrange Seán Cox charity match
In a move that many had called for, for some time, Liverpool FC and Republic of Ireland legends have 'launched' a charity match to support the Seán Cox Rehabilitation Trust.
Seán Cox suffered life-changing injuries in an appalling, unprovoked attack prior to the Reds' semi-final Champions League tie first-leg against AS Roma last April.
Reds ambassadors, Ian Rush and Jason McAteer were joined by Seán's wife Martina, to announce the match, along with some of the legends taking part in the match.
Some of the players playing for LFC will include: Sander Westerveld, Jerzy Dudek, Patrik Berger, Vladimir Smicer, Salif Diao, Robbie Fowler, Rush and Djibril Cisse, along with Glen Johnson.
For the ROI legends, you'll have the chance to see: Kevin Kilbane, Ian Harte, Lee Carsley and Liam Lawrence. Whilst Robbie Keane, Jason McAteer, John Aldridge and Phill Babb will turn out for both teams.
The match with take place on 12th April, at 7.45pm with tickets starting at €20 for adults, €10 for under 16s.
