Liverpool hit with more pre-season injuries ahead of Bradford match
It's not the start Jurgen Klopp will have wanted to his pre-season preparations, particularly with the likes of Alisson Becker, Roberto Firmino, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane likely not returning until the beginning of August.
With Naby Keita still facing fitness concerns, and Xherdan Shaqiri already having returned injured, it wasn't looking good in midfield already.
Then there were further injuries to Caoimhin Kelleher, Kamil Grabara and now their replacement goalie Vitezslav Jaros facing a spell on the sidelines, it isn't looking good for our young 'keepers.
Elsewhere, Paul Glatzel was confirmed by Klopp to have picked up a 'serious injury' against Tranmere on Thursday and Andy Robertson returned nursing an arm issue after suffering an infection in his hand.
Liam Millar will definitely take Glatzel's place in the squad, whilst Klopp will have to choose between a couple of young lads to back up Mignolet.
But it's certainly a concern that there are so many injuries to these young players that Klopp was hoping would fill out a few squad areas this coming season. How the boss chooses to respond will be very interesting going forward.
