Liverpool have to stop kit orders after store sells out!
It's been pushed as something of an embarrassment for the club in the last 24 hours but it seems like more of a confirmation of how huge Liverpool FC still is and the new fans we've obviously gained since Klopp arrived, but apparently the LFC online store sold out of the New Balance home shirt.
According to the Daily Mirror, the new home shirt is the highest selling in the club's history and there's been a hold put on any more orders while the stock is replenished.
A statement on the website said: "Due to significant demand for our home kit, we are currently out of stock of many of our home kit items. The 18/19 kits have been the most successful in our history.
"In order to meet this demand, we have placed a further reorder of home shirts and we're working hard to ensure supporters are able to purchase as soon as possible.
"Supporters will be notified as soon as the kit is available to pre-order in mid-February."
The team's current sportswear deal is worth £45 million per season but the Liverpool Echo reports that other sportswear brands, Nike, Puma and Adidas are in the running. No doubt to get the best deal possible.
With the current shirts outselling last season's (which, at that time, was the highest selling in the club's history), it's like that the top brands will be fighting amongst themselves for a piece of one of the hottest sporting names about.
