Liverpool Echo denies rumours of fresh Fekir approach
Another day, another Fekir rumour but this time, there seemed to be a bit more meat on the bones of what was another fairly scant claim.
Overnight there were some fresh rumblings that Liverpool may be back in for a player who, last summer, would've cost in the region of £50 million but will be valued much lower this.
With the player now entering into the final 12 months of his contract, a fee in the region of £15 million is much more likely.
It's that that may reignite the Reds' interests, with a fee of almost a third the originally quoted representing a far smaller risk.
The rumours this morning came from French outlet Le Progress, who report claim that Liverpool still retain an interest and say: "Nabil Fekir has a good exit. Liverpool always follows him." Make of that lazy translation what you will.
But leave it to the Liverpool Echo to ruin things, as an article from the early hours claims that the move just isn't going to happen. They ruined it before the latest rumours even began!
