Liverpool earnings outdo Man City despite finishing second
It was another season of 'progress' for Liverpool, both on and off the field, despite missing out on the title to Guardiola's Man City.
The Reds finished on 97 points, just one behind City, with the club's highest ever Premier League points tally. But not winning the title was still hard to take with that amount of points.
That said, off the field, the club outshone their title rivals, raking in £152.4 million from the Premier League.
Champions City earned £150 million, around 4 more than Chelsea who finished in third position. But Liverpool, once again, proved to be the biggest draw for the top division.
Considering our manager is already considered the top box-office manager, it's no surprise that his team are considered the same.
The prize money, according to the Liverpool Echo, is the highest ever in Premier League history and will no doubt give City fans something else to get up in arms about us for.
