Liverpool cool interest in Werder's Max Kruse
Reports this morning have stated that Liverpool are cooling any interest in Werder Bremen's Max Kruse.
The German striker was apparently on Liverpool's list of players to take the place of Daniel Sturridge, who will leave the Reds on a free.
The 31-year old German international is out of contract this summer and is also available on a free transfer. But the Liverpool Echo reports that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is not interested in the bringing the forward in as a back up option at all.
The experienced attacker is a target for a number of Bundesliga sides and reports from earlier this month had suggested Klopp was interested as well.
Instead, Klopp will look to put his faith in Rhian Brewster and Divock Origi. Origi was one of the Reds' heroes during the later stages of the Champions League run, scoring the winning goal in the final.
The paper also reports that, while Liverpool aren't planning to offer Kruse a contract, that doesn't mean the club aren't still in the market for an attacking player.
