Liverpool are 'in race' for Leon Bailey and Denis Zakaria
Along with Timo Werner, who once again is up in the air, Liverpool have now been linked to moves for Denis Zakaria and Leon Bailey. Both based in the German top flight.
The claims come via the Mirror and, for most Reds, Leon Bailey is a familiar name. The pacy winger plays for Bayer Leverkusen and is destined to move on to a much bigger club.
His value though, much like Jadon Sancho, is likely to be extortionate. In fact the going price for Bailey is reportedly around £80 million. He's having a good season again though, is only 22 and has a bright future. So he'll be in huge demand in the next window.
As for Zakaria though, Borussia Monchengladbach are likely to be looking for North of £40 million for the player who can play in midfielder and as a centre back.
His versatility will appeal to Jurgen, whilst his age - only 23 - will appeal to the club, who will appreciate his sell-on value.
Both would be huge prospects and are likely to be subject to a lot of interest in the summer, but as to whether LFC would be prepared to spend over £100 million on two players that are unlikely to usurp any first team players regularly (right now) remains to be seen.
