Liverpool apparently tell Dortmund that they want Sancho
It's a big claim to make, and footie fans love big claims. None more so than during extended breaks from our beloved league season.
So the claims overnight from Dominic King that Liverpool have told Borussia Dortmund that they want Jadon Sancho, who yesterday confirmed he'd be leaving in the summer, was big news.
I'm not entirely sure where this information has come from, but King is one of the more reputable sources around (albeit not even close to the likes of Reddy and Joyce).
The first line of his article (link to it via the Echo) states: "Liverpool have informed Dortmund of their desire to sign Jadon Sancho this summer, with the German club expected to demand at least £100million for the 19-year-old England forward."
Apparently, with Liverpool set to enter into a kit sponsorship deal with Nike (who also sponsor Sancho), and Jurgen's relationship with his former club, will stand the European and World Champions in good stead.
King also adds that the winger is good friends with Trent Alexander-Arnold, along with Jordan Henderson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The young English attacker is having a phenomenal season, having scored 15 goals and assisted 17 in 29 matches this season.
I can't imagine that Sancho will actually go for that sort of money. He's top class, even at 19, but he's still a relatively inexperienced teenager. I'd expect it to be closer to £70-80m when the figures are finally revealed, once he's sold.
