Lineker reckons Liverpool's recent defeats wins Jordan Henderson POTY
It's quite the take from the BBC One Football pundit, but Gary Lineker's Tweet after the team's defeat at Chelsea last night may well prove to be true.
Henderson was leading the pack by some distance prior to a recent injury, sustained during the 1st leg against Atletico Madrid back in February.
But the injury has cut his season short, with him having missed the last three game and not likely to be back until after the 2nd leg next week.
The Match of the Day presenter thinks that absence has only made it more clear that he's been the best player in the Premier League this season:
If the captain is able to recapture his pre-injury form, then there's no reason he can't go on to win a clean sweep of awards, with few other standout contenders remaining at this point.
Henderson has already played 34 times this season, more than many other players will manage all season, in the top league. He's score 3 times, with 5 assists; a much more successful season on a personal level than he's had for a few years now.
