LFC reportedly make 'enquiry' about Nicolas Pepe
According to the transfer mill today, Liverpool have made early enquiries about one of this coming summer's 'hot properties', Nicolas Pepe.
The 23 year old Ivorian was barely known across Europe 12 months ago but will likely be on many big club's transfer lists at the end of this season, with Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Man Utd all reportedly interested.
Now Le10 Sport (Sport Witness) have claimed that the Reds have made their interest known in a bid to get in ahead of their rivals for the player.
Despite already approaching his mid-20's, Pepe is currently enjoying his break out season, having scored and assisted 34 goals in 35 matches for Lille.
But in truth, his form has been growing gradually over the past few seasons, and his record at Lille so far, of a combined 53 goals and assists in 73 games is hugely impressive.
The quoted price for the winger is around £50 million. Though it remains to be seen whether the club will be prepared to pay that much for a relatively 'unknown' player in a fairly week league dominated by PSG.
