LFC legend tells Sancho he'd be 'crazy' to go to Man Utd
Whilst the talk amongst Reds at the moment is all about Tim Werner and Kylian Mbappe, one name that simply refuses to go away is that of Jadon Sancho.
The former Man City winger is almost a certainty to be back in the Premier League from next season, it's just a case of 'where do he go?'.
But if you ask Liverpool legend Steve Nicol, there's only one play he should go, and it certainly isn't Old Trafford.
Speaking on ESPN FC, Nicol said: "I think he’s crazy if he goes to Man United.
"We’re talking about he’s struggling in a team that’s struggling [Dortmund] - Man United are going to be struggling for a couple of seasons, so I would stay away from there."
The former City youngster joined Borussia Dortmund in 2017 and has gone on to be a great success, playing over 70 games and scoring/assisting 49 times.
There's been some talk that he's overrated/overpriced, and there is something to that, but claims that he's having a poor season are based more on his unhappiness. Because with 4 goals and 8 assists so far this season, he really isn't doing too bad at all.
So if you ask Nicol, he'd be far better off coming to Anfield. He said: "Well if I was advising him, let me put it that way, I would like to see him at Liverpool.
"I think he would be fantastic. If he could get his head round playing second fiddle to [Sadio] Mane and [Mohamed] Salah, then that would be huge for Liverpool in my opinion.
"They could save the legs of both of those two and kind of swap the three of them in and out.
"But he’s not going to do that, he’s going to go somewhere to play. So I think Liverpool’s out."
