Liverpool launch LFC Connect to help vulnerable in self isolation
During the coronavirus outbreak Liverpool have already done its part in supporting the community and now the club has launched LFC Connect.
The initiative is designed to help those self-isolating to avoid loneliness and feeling too isolated in what will be a very trying time for everybody.
A statement on the club website read: "In a bid to reduce social isolation among older and vulnerable neighbours in the north Liverpool and Kirkby communities, the club’s Red Neighbours, LFC Foundation and Fan Experience teams have been busy contacting people to chat on the phone and have a virtual cuppa with them.
"Taking place on weekdays between 9am and 4pm, the weekly calls offer a friendly chat to help reduce feelings of isolation among those most vulnerable within the community, currently having to remain at home."
Hopefully LFC Connect can help those most isolated and vulnerable in the Red community feel less alone and scared during Covid-19.
