LFC end fan card scheme
It was announced on Wednesday that LFC will be ending the older fan card (not membership) scheme in a bid to 'streamline' the ticketing service this season.
The Reds had several different methods of attaining match tickets, as well as seasons ticket holders and priority rights holders, which has often muddied the waters.
But in removing the old scheme, the club is hoping this will help to make things easier, bringing those card holders back into the fan membership card scheme instead.
According to the Liverpool Echo, members of the fan card scheme will had had an email from the club saying: "As part of streamlining our processes and systems to provide the best possible service to supporters, from the 2019/20 season the club will no longer operate the fan card scheme.
"There is only a very small number of fan cards in circulation and it is no longer a sustainable process that we can continue to facilitate.
"LFC official membership offers fans priority access to tickets together with the opportunity to join the Auto-Cup Scheme and access to late availability ticket sales."
