Lazar Markovic completes move to Fulham
Nobody was expecting any Liverpool business on transfer deadline day, least of all where Lazar Markovic was concerned.
But, at the last minute, a move for the Serbian winger was arranged with Premier League club Fulham who have been struggling against relegation for much of the season.
The official club site did not mention any fee for the player, but according to BBC Sport Fulham will pay Liverpool around £1.7 million in wages and fee, after he joined the side sitting 2nd from bottom in the league.
Claudio Ranieri has already taken on former LFC winger on this window in Ryan Babel and it would be a bit of a throw-back to yesteryear seeing to former Reds wingers lining up for the London side.
Markovic goes with the best wishes of ARO, and I'm sure we'd all like to see him find his best form again (although not when we play them!).
There were not further first-team outgoings on transfer deadline day, so we can now get back to the important matters of Premier League and Champions League football!
