Klopp: Will Man City exit impact Premier League race? We'll see
According to Jurgen it remains to be seen whether or not our title rival's exit from the Champions League this Wednesday will have any effect on Man City's run in.
The Manchester club were the big favourites for Europe's biggest prize - again - but exited well ahead of schedule when Spurs fought back from an early goal down in the first half, and then from 4-2 down to level the scores 4-4 on aggregate and progress.
But Klopp says he had sympathy for Guardiola's side and isn't sure how it will impact the title run in.
Answering whether he felt City's exit would affect the title race, he said: "No idea. But it was unbelievable. Seeing that, and then wow!
"I really felt for them. Of course everybody thought the ball was in and celebrated the goal.
"I know people would have said without VAR it was a clear goal and that’s true, but we would still have had discussions afterwards.
"It was tough to take, I am 100% sure. But on the other hand, big compliment to Tottenham. With all the problems they had, they went through.
"They have played this season unbelievable. And being in a game like this, and being ready like they were, scoring three goals at City is a massive thing. Of course they deserve it as well.
"But the influence on the league? I have no idea. We will see."
