Klopp provides positive Alisson and Keita injury updates for LFC
With the crunch month of October approaching, when Liverpool will take on Spurs, Man Utd and Leicester in the Premier League, Liverpool need all hands on deck.
Sandwiched in between those three games are the Champions League matches against Salzburg and Genk, so the new updates from Jurgen today was gratefully received.
During his press conference this morning, Klopp provided updates on Alisson and Naby Keita. He said: "Naby Keita is back in traininig with the team. Today is first time with the team.
"Alisson making big progress. A proper session yesterday with John Achterberg. Not in team training yet, and we take it day by day.
"We will see. Too early to say. Medical department will tell me."
Whilst Adrian has been in fine form since coming in to take Alisson's place, there's no denying the difference that Alisson makes to the team so his return will be welcome when it finally happens.
As for Keita, Tuesday night showed that his return can't come soon enough, as the Guinean offers something none of our other midfielders do and we will need his quality once the season starts hotting up.
Jurgen also finally added that, while it's highly unlikely, Origi has still not been ruled out of playing against Chelsea on Sunday evening.
