Klopp: Lovren given as long as possible to be fit for Tuesday
It was only last week that we were resigned to the fact that we'd be - quite literally - down to the bare bones at the back against Bayern Munich.
Virgil Van Dijk is suspended, Joe Gomez out long-term and Dejan Lovren struggling too. Meanwhile, Trent Alexander-Arnold was training again but may not be put out so soon.
But Jurgen has today confirmed that there's a small chance that Lovren could play and may be available for Tuesday night. He'll be given as long as possible to prove his fitness today.
Speaking ahead of the match on Tuesday, via the Liverpool Echo, Klopp said: "Dejan we will have to see.
"Yesterday we had a clearing session and after that we have to see how he reacted until today. That's the plan today, to be in proper training.
"Dejan, I actually have to wait minute by minute if there is a chance or not. If it's good then it will be another option."
The Liverpool boss also confirmed that both Xherdan Shaqiri and Gini Wijnaldum will be fit and available for selection Tuesday night.
