Klopp 'asks Liverpool to explore possibility' of signing Reus.. don't laugh
Bet you thought you'd escaped the 'sign Reus' nonsense, once and for all after we started signing players like Sadio Mane and Mo Salah, didn't you?
Well, you'd be wrong! Because today, courtesy of Don Balon (via TeamTalk), apparently Jurgen Klopp has asked the club to 'explore the possibility' of signing Marco Reus.
So.. yeah, Don Balon are far from the most reliable source, let's just get that out of the way right now. In fact, they're on of the least reliable sources out there. So you'll have to take everything being reported with a pinch of salt.
According to the Spanish outlet, Klopp is still a huge admirer of Reus, and the player has long expressed his desire to work with Klopp again. So one plus one makes two, right?
Not only that, but Klopp likes the fact that Reus can play across all of the forward positions, as well as double up in the midfield, if needs be.
The fact that the player is Borussia's club captain and also now 30 means nothing, of course. The chances that FSG would sanction such a move seem highly unlikely. Mark this one of as nothing but a bit of of a laugh. Thanks for memories of 2015 again, you naughty Spaniards!
